How long will I need to stay in India?

Do you help with the medical visa?
Yes. We provide an official invitation letter from the hospital which is required for your medical visa (e-Medical Visa) application. India's e-Medical Visa is available for citizens of 150+ countries and can be obtained within 3โ5 business days online. Your dedicated coordinator will guide you through the entire process.
Is airport pickup and accommodation included?
We arrange airport transfers, accommodation near the hospital (guesthouses, service apartments, or hotels at various budgets), local transport for hospital visits, and an interpreter if required. Can a family member accompany you? Absolutely โ we make accommodation arrangements for one accompanying attendant as well.
Can a family member travel with me?
Yes, and we strongly recommend it. Family members can apply for an accompanying e-Medical Visa along with yours. Most hospitals have attendant rooms within the ward at minimal cost. We make the full experience comfortable for both the patient and their family.

Are there any fees for using Medivaco's services?
Our consultation and case review service is completely free for patients. Medivaco earns a facilitation fee from partner hospitals, which does not affect the cost quoted to you. The prices we share are exactly what you would pay โ with full transparency and no hidden charges.
How do I pay for treatment in India?
Most hospitals accept international bank transfers (wire transfer / SWIFT), USD, GBP, EUR, AED, and major credit cards. A deposit is usually required at admission and the balance before discharge. We advise on the most cost-effective transfer method for your country to minimise currency conversion losses.
Does my international health insurance cover treatment in India?
Some international health insurance plans cover treatment abroad. We recommend checking your policy's terms on overseas medical treatment. Our hospitals can provide all itemised bills and medical documentation required for insurance claims. We assist patients in preparing claim documents wherever possible.

What support do I get after I return home?
Your care doesn't end at discharge. We provide digital copies of all medical records, discharge summaries, and prescriptions. Your surgeon is available for telemedicine follow-ups for at least 6 months. Your Medivaco coordinator remains your point of contact for any post-treatment queries.
What happens if there are complications after I return home?
In the unlikely event of complications, we coordinate between your local doctor and the treating surgeon in India via telemedicine. Our partner hospitals take clinical responsibility for complications directly related to the procedure. We facilitate communication and medical documentation to ensure you receive appropriate care wherever you are.
